St. Mary’s school is proud to announce the opening of its Program for Students with Special Needs (PSSN) this school year 2019-2020. Since its inception, St. Mary’s School has implemented an innovative program to complement and enrich its basic academic program through its Program for Excellence (PFE). Through this program, differentiated activities are organized to respond to the individual aptitude and interest of students. The PSSN, on the other hand, will deal with the special needs and interests of students with learning difficulties, particularly those who are not able to cope with the regular demands of the day to day lessons, as specified in the DepEd program.

Experts on Special Education from the University of the Philippines and Beacon International School, Ms. Rhea Abat and Ms. Angeli Perez, will be setting up the program through a series of faculty and Parents training sessions throughout the year, including the non-teaching staff of the school in order for the SMS community to meaningfully support and contribute to this new program.
