THE Public Employment Service Office of Cagayan de Oro (Peso-CDO) has been recognized for its outstanding employment facilitation efforts, receiving a prestigious award from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Northern Mindanao.

The city was honored in the “highly urbanized city” category for its effective employment and livelihood programs that benefit residents.

The award was presented during the 2024 Regional DOLE-10 and Pesomap-10 Year-End Performance Assessment and Recognition Night on Feb. 5, 2025.

City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy and Peso-CDO Manager Kathleen Kate D. Sorilla were commended for their leadership in advancing job creation and economic opportunities. Sorilla accepted the award on behalf of the city.

Peso-CDO achieved a 100% performance rating in key employment services, including job referrals, labor market information, career development support, and emergency employment programs.

The office was also recognized for its efficiency in data reporting and active participation in regional employment initiatives.

The recognition highlights Cagayan de Oro’s commitment to fostering economic growth and ensuring accessible employment opportunities for its workforce.
