THE City College of Cagayan de Oro (CCCDO) has entered the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, placing in the 1001–1500 bracket globally.
It is the only local college from Mindanao included in the list and one of the few higher education institutions in the Philippines to gain international recognition under this category.
THE Impact Rankings measure how universities contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on areas such as quality education, gender equality, climate action, and partnership for sustainable development.
CCCDO’s inclusion highlights its active alignment with these global goals through teaching, community engagement, and institutional policies.
The ranking acknowledges the collective work of the college, led by President Dr. Jestoni Babia and supported by the 20th City Council.
City Councilor Suzette Magtajas-Daba, Chairperson of the Committee on Education, has also backed the school’s education and development initiatives.
This development puts CCCDO on the international map and affirms its growing role in promoting sustainable education and public service in the region.
