BUTUAN City — The Department of Health Caraga regional office has reported that in Caraga Region three were hurt in firecrackerelated injuries, two persons here and one in Surigao City, all minors aging 6 to 15 years old.
DOH-Caraga information officer Romelyn Torralba said on Dec. 25 two minors, a boy and a girl were wounded by firecrackers here in Butuan City. The next day, another minor was also victimized due firecrackers in Surigao City.
DOH-Caraga claimed firecracker piccolo were both used in the firecrackerelated injuriy incidents.
Piccolo is one of the banned firecrackers which is openly and still rampantly sold here in Caraga Region.
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 13 regional director Chief Supt. Rolando Felix urged public to be always alert and report to police those who will fire guns on New Year.
