DIGOS City ― Police authorities are conducting an intensive investigation into the shooting of a 51-year-old woman while driving her vehicle along Diversion Road near corner Bypass Road, Barangay Maa, Davao City at about 2 pm on Saturday.
Maa police station identified the victim as Anabelle Cosido Elizagaque, a resident of Block 5 Lot 5, Espino Subdivision, Barangay Dumoy, Davao City.
Investigators were told that Elizagaque was driving her vehicle in reverse going out from Power Asia Integrated Sales and Allied Services Compound which was owned by her daughter when two of the three unidentified assassins appeared in front of the car and fired multiple shots towards her.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds to different parts of the body apparently causing her instantaneous death inside the vehicle.
After shooting the victim, the gunmen fled on board a CRF motorcycle driven by their cohort.
Investigators also said Elizagaque was then connected with an investment scheme being one of the agents of Regin Trading Business associated with a certain Rico Garcia and Paul Auditor as business partners.
Davao City forensic unit led by Lt. Bernadine Magallanes processed the crime scene and discovered three pieces of deformed slugs and five fired cartridge cases from a .45 caliber pistol, and the personal belongings of the victim.
