DIGOS City ― Having served more than two years inside the BJMP for selling illicit drugs, a woman in her 40s is back in jail after narcotics agents caught her on Thursday for drug trafficking.
Ivy Basaya Pado, 41, a resident of Purok Mangga, Barangay San Jose, Digos City fell into the trap set up by the police and PDEA-11 during a buy-bust operation at about 2:26 pm on May 25.
Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City's acting police chief reported that Pado sell a sachet of suspected shabu to a police officer working as a poseur-buyer. They found another four sachets in her possession when the operatives conducted a body search following her arrest.
The police also seized non-drug items from her possession such as the marked P1,000 bill used in the buy-bust, a cellular phone, and identification cards, among others, to serve as part of the evidence to be presented in court during the pursuit of the case.
Police records claimed the seized illegal substance inside the sachets weighs 3.4 grams with an estimated street value of P51,000.
It was learned, Pado was incarcerated due to a drug offense in 2016 where she served more than two years in prison.
Years later after Pado was released from prison police intelligence operatives found out she is into the drug trade, again; hence, the authorities launched the buy-bust operation.
She was listed as the 4th on the PNP-PDEA watch list of drug personalities in Davao del Sur.
