WATER everywhere except in our faucets.
It's quite comedic that Cagayan de Oro is abundant with surface water (when it rains) and yet its water distribution utility, the COWD, apparently lacks the balls to fill its pipes with potable water.
I know, I know there's no logic in the preceding paragraph. Just want to catch your attention.
Many areas in the City are experiencing “low pressure to no water” not when the COWD does maintenance work but on a daily basis.
Would you buy how the COWD justifies this? Well, it seems the COWD thinks its concessionaires are brainless and would qualify as contestants in the Battle of the Brainless.
The COWD says it deliberately reduced the water pressure in its distribution system in order to primarily reduce its haunting non-revenue water, and secondly to avoid experiencing busted water pipes due to aging.
Couldn’t it be because its bulk water supplier has already refused to deliver what it used to because of the unpaid bulk water bills that has piled up into more than half a billion pesos? Well, we deserve an explanation from Cagayan de Oro Waterless District! And why is the City mum about this problem?
Let's talk about traffic.
Another problem haunting the City is its poorly managed traffic. It seems the Mayor erred in placing and keeping deaf, dumb, and blind people managing the RTA.
People managing the city’s problematic traffic seem not to hear lamentations, complaints, and even constructive criticisms hurled by motorists at city hall and its traffic managers. Or are they taking all these feedback for granted, as if nobody else but them understands the mess caused by their incompetence.
Or are they literally blind that they do not see the glaring problems that are staring them in the eye.
Really, are they capable of solving the traffic mess in the city?
Here comes the garbage truck!
Why is the City becoming a huge garbage receptacle? Is it government’s incompetence or the people’s fault?
Why is the City holding on to an equally incompetent contractor when it can easily look for somebody else who can do the job?
Well, this has become too long I might successfully bore the readers. So long for now!
