ALL life depends on water.

Drip

Drip

Did you just see a tap that was leaking and walk on by? You sure had your reasons but imagine no one has even a minute to stop by and close the tap to prevent unnecessary wastage of water. Before we go through that. What is water?

What is water? I think most of you would think about how is that a question that is already obvious. Let's use the definition of water using science.

So… Water is a tiny molecule. It consists of three atoms: two of hydrogen and one of oxygen. Water molecules cling to each other because of a force called hydrogen bonding. It's the reason why water can do amazing things.

Water is the basic necessity for the functioning of all life forms that exist on earth. It is safe to say that water is the reason behind Earth being the only planet to support life. This universal solvent is one of the major resources we have on this planet. Life can't function without water. After all, it makes for almost 70% of the earth.

The human body needs water for the day to day survival. We may be able to survive without any food for a whole week but without water, we won’t even survive for 3 days. Moreover, our body itself comprises of 70% water. This, in turn, helps our body to function normally.

Try to imagine your life without water.

You probably wouldn’t get through the first 15 minutes of your day: You drink water from the faucet, brush your teeth, flush the toilet, take a shower, mop the floors, wash your car, bathe your pets, and use water for cooking food. And that’s just the water you see. It’s in the coffee and the coffee pot. It’s in the milk and in the alfalfa that fed the cow that produced the milk.

If we look beyond human uses, we will realize how water plays a major role in every living being's life. Water is not only required for our survival but for a healthy and happy life as well. In other words, a world without water would make the human race impossible to last.

Without water there cannot be life on our planet, that is to say on Earth. Every living organism needs water, and therefore having a good understanding and care for the water is a must for all of us.

People should realize how important and precious water is. At the individual level, you can be more responsible and avoid wasting water so that our future generation can make the best use of this natural resource abundantly.
