Trend shows Team Siao win

ILIGAN City ― With over 90 percent of the votes now counted as of 9 am, today, the results show the team under Rep. Frederick Siao is off to a big win in the elections held yesterday.

The following are the partial and unofficial results: For city mayor, Siao, 48,698 votes against current Vice Mayor Jemar Vera Cruz’s 31,048 votes, and for vice mayor, Marianito Alemania garnered 41,459 votes against Ian Uy’s 36,107 votes.

As for city councilors, nine out of the 12 sure winners are coming from Siao’s team with the 12th place a toss between Siao team’s Eric Capitan and mayor Celso Regencia’s Nhicole Capangpangan.

In the congressional race, Regencia now is the sure winner against Vicente Belmonte, Jr with Regencia raking in 44,858 votes as opposed to Belmonte’s 41,986 votes.

City Commission on Elections officer Atty. Dexter Nagtalon said the proclamation may be anytime this afternoon.
