A TEENER is feared trapped in the middle of at least seven residential houses that were razed by fire at Purok 3B, Barangay Gusa, this city, at past 9 am this morning.

Firefighters, as of this writing, are still trying to find out the condition of a 17-year-old female student that may have been left inside one of the houses mostly made of combustible materials.

The narrow passageway also made it difficult for the firefighters to contain the blazing inferno that turned into ashes the houses of the Wagas, Oguiton, and Oclarit families.

Sa kusinang dapit nagsugod sa among kadikit nga balay nagsugod ang kalayo. Hurot gyod among gamit,” one Emilyn Wagas said.

Police officer Ervin Wagas, who is detailed at a checkpoint in Barangay Bugo, could only hear an explosion when he arrived at his place.

Ako ‘tong mga issue nga bala ang nangbuto. Hurot wala gyod koy nahipos,” the helpless policeman told reporters.

Fire probers are also looking into the reports that a mobile cellphone charger was left unattended by a nocturnal ‘ML’ enthusiast, which may have caused it to overheat.
