DIGOS City ― The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-11) and local anti-drug enforcement unit in the city barged into the residence of a man whom authorities suspected of drug possession early this week.
In a report, Lt. Colonel Hamlet Lerios, Digos City police chief the joint forces of cops together with PDEA-11 agents went to Chapter-7, Barangay Aplaya, Digos City to serve a Search Warrant issued by RTC Executive Judge Carfelita Cadiente-Flores on April 25 against Regor Albaña Mendez.
Regor, also known as ‘Goryo,’ 39, is included in the list of drug personalities in the area where police placed him under the Street Level Individual-Newly Identified Drug Personality.

Authorities found during the search operation seven sachets of suspected shabu, a homemade .38 caliber revolver, four bullets for a .38 caliber revolver, and drug paraphernalia.
Lerios said the implementation of the search warrant was legally done, peaceful, and in an orderly manner, and in the presence of the required witnesses in accordance with section 8 of Rule 126 of the Revised Rules of Court.
Drug evidence and drug paraphernalia and the suspect were transported from Digos City to the Regional Forensic Unit-11 at Candelaria Street, Ecoland, Davao City for laboratory and drug test examination, respectively.
Mendez, as well as the seized evidence, will be presented to the judge issuing the search warrant.
Meanwhile, the seized firearm and ammunition were submitted to Davao del Sur Forensic Unit for ballistic examination.
The recovered suspected shabu weighs 1.8 grams with a street market value of P27,000 and P12,240 as per Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) price standard.
