By ELDIE AGUIRRE Correspondent . SOLDIERS killed two  New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas during an encounter in Sitio Caseras, Barangay Upper Bala in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur on Wednesday. Lt. Col. Rhojun Rosales, the Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion commander, said soldiers and about 30 rebels exchanged firepower at around 1:30 am. He said soldiers were there to validate intelligence reports that an armed group was holding a meeting there. Rosales said the fightings lasted for about an hour, and resulted in the killing of two still unidentified rebels. He said found a Armalite rifle that was among the guns seized by the NPA when it raided a police station in Matanao, Davao del Sur on March 10, 2014.
