This after the said mall surpassed its sales target for 2019, and even exceeding it by two percent.

According to SM City Cagayan de Oro, SM Store Manager, Ingrid Viado disclosed that during 2017-2018 they were challenged in terms of their sales performance with a deficit of P60 million. So in this year with amidst the Martial law in Mindanao, they were able to meet their target.

“During 2017-2018 we were really challenged in terms of our sales performance. At that time we had a deficit of P60 million for the year, which means we were only able to achieve 86 percent of our plan or our target,” Viado said.

Meanwhile, from 2018 to 2019 SM City Cagayan de Oro was able to surpass the P60 million deficits.

“In 2018-2019 we were able to surpass the P60 million. In fact, we already met again the P1 billion mark which we did in 2015 and again in 2019 we even had an excess of P22 million (2%), which means to say that’s about P80 million,” she said.
