THE promulgation of the case of abuse of authority against Iligan City Mayor Celso Regencia will be out on Jan. 14.
Lawyer Moises Dalisay Jr, yesterday told reporters that the complaint was filed by Vice Mayor Ruderic Marzo before the Sandiganbayan.
He said Regencia requested that the promulgation be postponed to June, this year but was denied by the anti-graft court.
It would be virtual, he said and neither the accused nor the complainant are required to join. This was because the mayor had acted as mayor still when he was already suspended in 2017. The said promulgation will be made at around 10:00 am, tomorrow, he added.
If found guilty by the anti-graft court, Regencia can still file an appeal before the Supreme Court, Dalisay said.
