AUTHORITIES arrested a rookie cop for alleged illegal drug possession in Valencia City in Bukidnon, on Saturday.
Bukidnon police director Col. Roel Lami-ing identified the suspect as Patrolman Michael John Ondap, 33, of Kisanday, Maramag, Bukidnon.
Ondap, who completed the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course Class 2017-01, served as a warrant server at the Manolo Fortich town police.
Lami-ing said Ondap was arrested after a concerned citizen informed authorities that shabu was being sold in the area at that time.
Also arrested with Ondap was Glenn Vincent Valendez, also from Maramag town.
Lami-ing said the two suspects are facing a case for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
Aside from facing RA 9165, the Ondap is also facing administrative charges and summary dismissal as member of the PNP, according to Lami-ing.
The suspects have been detained at the Valencia City police station.
