The Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) is gearing up for the annual Traslacion of the Black Nazarene on January 9.

RTA Department Manager Nonito Oclarit announced that several major roads will be fully closed to ensure devotee safety and smooth procession flow.

Affected roads include Capistrano Street, areas around Gaston Park, Fernandez Street, and parts of Rizal Street.

"No vehicles will be allowed to enter during the Traslacion," Oclarit said.

Road closures will start January 8 to prevent parking along the route.

Traffic enforcers will be deployed overnight to secure closed areas.

The Traslacion route:

- Saint Augustine Cathedral Church

- Fernandez Street

- Velez Street

- Recto Avenue

- Nazareno Church

On January 9, Recto Avenue in front of the Nazareno Church will be fully closed, including parts of Corrales Avenue and Osmeña Street.

RTA will deploy 136 traffic enforcers to manage traffic.
