CAGAYAN de Oro 1st District Rep. Lordan Suan’s office distributed more than 228 packages of relief assistance yesterday, Nov. 5, to residents in three barangays here who were affected by recent fires and flooding.
The relief aid, which came from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-10), was spearheaded by 1st District Congressional Director Roberto Amplayo.
More than 80 relief packages were given to the fire survivors of Zone 3, Dabatian Street, Barangay Carmen, who are now staying in the West Central School evacuation center.
Another 72 packages went to Sitio Batinay, Barangay Tagpangi, which was affected by recent Typhoon Tino, and 76 packages were distributed in Barangay Dansolihon, where residents also suffered flooding from the typhoon.
