THE Regulatory Compliance Board (RCB) of Cagayan de Oro City, in coordination with the Barangay Council of Lapasan, held a meeting with internet café owners and operators on Thursday, June 5.
The meeting served as a reminder to business owners about City Ordinance No. 13394, which prohibits minors from entering or staying inside internet cafés from 7 am to 3 pm on school days.
The ordinance aims to ensure that students attend school during regular class hours. The RCB urged café owners to comply by verifying the age of customers and posting visible notices inside their establishments.
Representatives from Barangay Lapasan attended the meeting and expressed support for the continued enforcement of the ordinance.
The RCB said it will conduct regular information sessions and monitoring in other areas of the city. The board also provided contact information for reporting ordinance violations.
