PEOPLE who subjected themselves to self-quarantine in their homes in Valencia City did not feel miserable and lonely on Valentine’s Day.
A team of police officers, wearing facemasks, gave fresh roses to people under monitoring because of the coronavirus disease 2019 in Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Col. Surki Sereñas, Valencia police chief, said the police visited 14 people under self-quarantine and handed out bouquet of roses to cheer them up.
“No worries because the persons under self-quarantine are not NCOV positive. They are all doing well and are asymptomatic. They are just happy to be visited by our policemen,” Sereñas said.
He said the local government and the Department of Health asked the 14 people who had just come abroad to undergo home isolation for 14 days just as a precautionary measure.
“Valencia City is safe. We have no confirmed NCOV reported here,” Sereñas said.
Dr. David Mendoza of the DOH-10 said there are 37 people under monitoring in the five provinces and seven cities of Northern Mindanao.
Of the 37 in home isolation, Mendoza said half of them have already passed the two tests.
The DOH website, as of Feb. 14, 2020, showed only three people are under observation at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center for exhibiting symptoms.
Mendoza said 12 people were placed under isolation since the coronavirus scare broke out last month but all have tested negative and were discharged.
