A phone snatcher was beaten to a pulp by a mob along Ysalina Bridge.
Newly released from prison for the crime of frustrated homicide, Kobe Ibara was beaten black and blue after he grabbed the cellphone of his fellow jeepney passenger along Ysalina bridge of Barangay Carmen, over the weekend.
His supposed victim apparently fought back, getting the attention of many others who proceeded to maul him up.
Police Major Sebastian Chua of Police Station I Divisoria said Ibara is a member of a criminal group with a rosary tattoo design on their hands usually engaged in petty crimes.
While he praised Ibara’s victim for his braveness, Chua still warned “ayaw ibaylo ang kinabuhi sa butang” in a life-threatening situation.
