NOW finding a new venue at Barangay 17 Boulevard, the Cagayan de Oro’s most popular ballclub endured another set of challenges by successfully holding a season-ending inter-color tournament and Christmas party, over the weekend.

Without the Palaro Center as its former homecourt to rely on, the time-tested Ballpals persevered with its pre-christmas tourney being hosted by Barangay 17 with the all-out support of its chairman Anthony ‘Kap Bossing’ Atterviry Neri and Kagawad Janjan Arcaya.

“As long nga ganahan kamo modula dire sa among korte ilalom sa tulay welcome permi ang Ballpals sa Barangay 17 Boulevard,” said Neri, who awarded P1,000 cash for every basket made during the pre-final halfcourt showdown.

The Ballpals Yellow of Bong Mercado earlier toppled Ballpals White in the battle for third place.

In the final, Ballpals Blue skippered by Froilan Mabalot outplayed Ballpals Red, 68-53 to celebrate the year-end Christmas party with the rest of the active and legendary Ballpals members at Barbecue Station or the place of former club president Bado Legaspi at the back of Lourdes College.

Daghang salamat kaninyong tanan nga taliwala sa daghang mga pagsulay anaa ra gihapon nagpabilin atong pinalangga nga Ballpals club para sa healthy nga pasingot ug basketball bonding kanato nga mga higala,” said the concurrent club president Aniano Sorolla of the Philippine Air Force.
