CAGAYAN de Oro City marked its 75th Charter Day with the theme “CDO at 75: Proud of Our Roots, Bold in Our Dreams” (Mapasigarbuhon sa Kagikan, Madasigon sa mga Damgo).

Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy led the activities. In his message, he said, “Let this year be one of pride, reflection, and renewed commitment.” He encouraged residents to look back on the city’s journey and continue working together.

Cagayan de Oro became a city through Republic Act No. 521 in 1950. The Charter Day celebration included programs, ceremonies, and recognition of groups and individuals.

City officials said the event is a way to remember the city’s start, its growth, and the plans moving forward. They also called for unity and cooperation in future efforts.

Cagayan de Oro is known for its people and its role in the region. Officials said they will continue programs that support jobs, education, safety, and public services.

The city government said the 75th year is a time to look back, plan ahead, and stay focused on work for the community.
