THE Philippine Genome Center detected 11 more Delta variant cases in nine barangays in the city.
This as the National Inter-Agency Task Force extended the status of modified enhanced community quarantine in the city up to the end of September.
Dr. Ted Yu of the Cagayan de Oro City Health Office said the genome center informed them of the location of the 11 Delta variant cases in nine barangays.
They were located in barangays Balulang (two); Canitoan (one); Tablon (one); Carmen (one); Macabalan (one); Gusa (three); Brgy. 24 (one); and Brgy. 9 (one).
Yu said the new cases bring the number of total afflicted residents with the Delta variant to 69, still the highest in Mindanao.
The Philippine Genome Center in its briefer today said 10 cases were also detected in Region 11; five cases in Barmm, and one case in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
