Business owners in Cagayan de Oro now have two extra months to renew their permits—without penalties and without lining up at City Hall.

The City Council has approved Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy’s recommendation to extend the deadline from January 20 to March 31, 2026.

This extension is meant for you—especially if you run a small business, a micro-enterprise, or a renewing shop that’s been hit by higher real property taxes, rising wages, and slower sales.

The move followed a joint request from business leaders Almarco Brito (Oro Chamber), Henry Dy (Cagayan de Oro Filipino-Chinese Chamber), and Efren Uy (Misamis Oriental Filipino-Chinese Chamber).

In their letter to Mayor Uy, they said the extension would provide “much-needed relief to business owners who are currently under financial strain.”

They pointed to the increase in real property tax, higher minimum wages, and last year’s income slowdown as pressures many entrepreneurs are still absorbing.

“The extension will greatly help our members cope with the added financial burdens brought by higher taxes and labor costs, while many businesses are still recovering from reduced earnings,” the groups said.

Mayor Uy endorsed the request, recognizing the economic pressures on local enterprises and the need to give entrepreneurs breathing room.

City officials estimate that nearly 30,000 establishments will renew this year through the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) at the City Tourism Hall and the city’s online platform.

Click “Payment.” Select “Renewal Business Application.” Enter your last year’s permit number, registered business name, and the captcha, then click “Get Bill.”

Review your details and click “Proceed.” Click “Pay Bill” and choose your payment method (credit/debit card, e-wallet, online banking, BancNet, or Bayad Center).
