ILIGAN City ― There will be no lockdown for the rest of the month of September.
This was the statement late last week of Department of Interior and Local Government city director Edward Bhagwani. He said this is a clarification for those who believe posts on social media that there will be lockdowns during fiesta days even as he added that September 27 is a local holiday but only for schools.
The 28th and 29th have also been declared holidays. The latter date is fiesta day for its patron saint St. Michael the Archangel.
To note this year’s fiesta celebration is a subdued one just like last year.
Bhagwani, to note is a member of the local Inter-Agency Task Force. He said they will have a meeting again to discuss on October their strategy. He then cautioned people not to believe everything posted on social media.
