Gingoog City — There is no positive infection of coronavirus disease here, Dr. Agnes Centino, assistant city health officer announced amid reports posted on Facebook there is Covid-19 patient in the city.

Centino, the team leader of the Gingoog City Covid-19 Task Force posted on her Facebook account: “Walay confirmed Covid-19 sa Gingoog City.”

However, Centino, in a phone interview, confirmed that there is one person under monitoring but was already discharged from the Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital last Friday night after testing negative to the virus.

Centino said the person arrived days ago from Florida, USA.

As part of the protocol, Centino said the person, who had fever, was instructed to go to the hospital for assessment and evaluation of his health condition.

Centino added it is also part of their protocol that all incoming city residents from other places of the country or abroad to go to the city health office upon arrival for evaluation and given more guidance for their safety and the safety of everybody.
