A newborn baby has been left at the doorstep of a Talisayan residence in Misamis Oriental.
The incident happened on the morning of February 10, specifically at the place of the Maano family in Purok One, Barangay Puting Balas.
The baby, described by the ones who found her as “very pretty,” was placed in a carton along with some coins amounting to P25. She had a diaper on.
In a video shared by Chris Liam, a female who cuddled the baby could only mutter: “Gibinlan P25 pampalit tingali (milk). Unsa kaha gibati ron sa mama ug papa kalami kumoton sa ilang dagway.”
Netizen Mariebeth Cortel, however, suggests for everyone to have a better understanding of the situation.
“Kon unsa man ang giagian sa inahan hinaut mahatagan siya’g kahayag,” Cortel said.
Talisayan cops, led by PSMS Orlando Condes, had initiated the baby’s transfer to the municipal hospital of the said town for medical check-ups and other needs.
Some weeks ago, a baby girl was also seen dead floating in the river of the neighboring Jasaan town.
Barangay Kagawad Virgilio Balantac, Jr immediately reported the matter to the police.
