TWO separate accidents involving garbage trucks operated by the city's new garbage collector, Standard Systems, have been recorded in the first two days of its full operation.
In its first day on the job, Friday, September 26, one of its garbage truck side-swiped a parked car in Justo Ramonal, Barangay 29.
The Road and Traffic Administration (RTA) impounded the truck after its driver was unable to provide a copy of the official receipt (OR) and certificate of registration (CR) for the vehicle.
Another side-swiping incident occurred today, Saturday, September 27, involving a different garbage truck and a parked car at Rodelsa Circle.

In a text message to iFm-Rmn-Dxcc, City Local Environment and Natural Resources Office Chief Armen Cuenca said all the trucks are brand new and their documents would follow.
Cuenca also urged the public to support the city and be thankful that the new contractor has started operations.
“Pasalamat gani ‘ta nga nag start sila, ayaw na mo’g pangita sa lain issue,” Cuenca said.
