Cotabato City — Newly-installed college president assumed office at Cotabato City State Polytechnic College (CCSPC), this week.
Dr. Sema G. Dilna is the 5th president of this College since the Cotabato City National High School converted into Cotabato City State Polytechnic College last 1984.
He earned the highest vote among his five contenders who were voted by the 11 members of the board.
The composition of the Board of Trustees were the Ched Commissioner headed by Ronald Adamat, Incumbent President as vice chairman, one member from the Senate, one member from the Lower House, One from the Neda office, One from DOST, a prominent citizen, faculty president, alumni president, and student government president
The six contenders were evaluated on a public forum, showing their intention in the College Plan and question and answer from different sectors. Secondly, they proceeded to Davao City for one-on-one interview for 35 minutes for each contender and lastly in Manila for the final interview before the actual elections.
Prior to becoming president, Dilna was the incumbent vice president for Academic Affairs under outgoing president Dammang S. Bantala.

He promised to support his administration for the welfare of the college until it will be converted into a university.
At the same time, a turnover was conducted from the outgoing Bantala to Dilna which was witnessed by the different sectors including the SUCS president particularly University of Mindanao Dr. Francisco Gil Garcia, Sultan Kudarat State University headed by Dr. Rolando Hechanova, and Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology headed by Dr. Ali K. Dilangalen.
