THE Satellite Office of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Region 10, located in Gingoog City, is now open to serve the entire population of the city. This, after a ribbon-cutting and blessing ceremonies on the morning of October 17, led by City Mayor Erick Cañosa.
Mayor Cañosa expressed his excitement and gratitude for this development, emphasizing that the people of Gingoog can take advantage of this opportunity at minimal cost. This office will greatly assist residents in processing their NBI Clearances, eliminating the need to travel to Cagayan de Oro for this purpose.
Mayor Cañosa also noted that the NBI Satellite Office, situated at the Arturo Lugod Gym Building in front of the Gingoog City Police Station, will not only serve Gingoog but also neighboring municipalities.
It will cover the entire area of the First District of Misamis Oriental and the province of Camiguin, as mentioned by City Councilor Conrado Gomez, Jr., who chairs the Committee on Peace and Order.
City Councilors, City Vice Mayor Thaddeus Lugod, along with others, witnessed this significant event. Attorney Chermene Nacua, NBI-10 Admin Executive Officer, and Attorney Nolan Gadia, Operation Executive Officer, shared that the NBI Satellite Office here will accommodate up to 250 applicants per day, with a daily average of 680 applicants throughout the region.
This Satellite Office is the first of its kind established in Misamis Oriental and the second in Region 10, thanks to the efforts of NBI Director Attorney Patricio Bernales, who was recently reassigned to Cebu City. Attorney Bernales was replaced by Attorney Rennan Augustus T. Oliva in a swap last month, according to Attorney Gadia.
