Moreno, XU ink pact for NST program

PINNING their hope on the youth to engage in community involvement and advocacy, Xavier University conducted a face-to-face and online Memorandum of Understanding and Contract of Engagement Signing Ceremonies for the National Service Training Program (NSTP) at the Old University Library, XU Main campus this morning.

Present in the signing were Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno, University President Fr. Mars P. Tan, SJ, NSTP Director Norinyl E. Jumalon, and NSTP staff and students.

Climate justice advocacy group Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ) was also represented online by Ian Rivera, National Coordinator, as PMCJ has directly partnered with Xavier University's NSTP since 2019 by conducting a series of lectures regarding climate change, climate justice, and the fight against fossil fuel-based energy.
