MISAMIS Oriental Provincial Administrator Judee Salvaña has resigned, a move confirmed Monday, July 28, during the provincial capitol’s weekly flag-raising ceremony.
Lawyer Angel Lim, the capitol’s new legal officer, has been named acting provincial administrator.
Celso Abocejo, special assistant to Misamis Oriental Gov. Juliette Uy, told RMN-dxCC radio that Salvaña’s resignation stemmed from “the non alignment of her interest for his career and development in government service.” Salvaña’s departure was effective Friday, last week.
Lim, who will now serve in a dual capacity as both legal officer and acting provincial administrator, said he would ensure his positions would not complicate his duties.
Earlier today, he reminded officials and employees to “serve the people with ability and accountability.”
Lim expressed confidence in his new role, stating, “Nakita kita nga muhulip kaniya.”
He added that the administration’s current focus is to “tighten their belt and to maximize the people in the Capitol.”
Lim also noted the presence of board members Jabi Bernaldez, Panky Acain, and Rommel Maslog at Monday’s ceremony.
“Nalipay kaayo ta nga nakita sila, hinay-hinay, ug sunod Lunes atong gilauman nga mudagan na ni sila,” Lim said, emphasizing the ongoing transition process within the capitol. “Lets take it light and optimistic lang ta,” he added.
