THE autopsy of the minor killed in Claveria town has confirmed the confession of the 28-year-old suspect that he raped the minor.

It can be recalled that the minor’s remains were found in a creek in Sitio Ban-ban, Barangay Ane-i in Claveria in Misamis Oriental on March 4.

Police Regional Office-10 spokesperson Major Joann Navarro said the medico-legal confirmed that the minor was raped.

“Naay lacerations. Manifestation kini nga gihilabtan ang bata,” she said.

The suspect identified as Ariel Bayod Limas, single and a resident of Sitio Minantang of the same barangay, is facing Rape with Homicide as the authority filed charges before the office of the Provincial Prosecution Office in Cagayan de Oro City on Tuesday afternoon, said Navarro.

In a phone interview Wednesday afternoon, Navarro said they also corrected the civil status of the suspect from “single” to “married.”

“Nasayop lang ang pulis sa pag record,” she added.
