Iligan City — The Mandulog Bridge is nearing completion.
Engr. Aly Khan Umpa Ali, Officer-in-Charge of the Department of Public Works and Highways told reporters over the weekend that the target date of completion is at the end of this month.

To recall, work on this bridge had been stalled because of right-of-way issues especially on the side of Barangay San Roque but this was resolved in the middle of 2019 and work on it continued. This bridge will replace the Hinaplanon Bridge.
The Mandulog Bridge 1 project was initiated by national government after the old Hinaplanon bridge collapsed during the onslaught of Tropical Storm Sendong.
The opening of Mandulog bridge 1 is expected to significantly lessen the volume of traffic within the city center of Iligan.
