GINGOOG City ― A resident of Barangay Lunao bagged the Miss Gingoog City 2023 crown here recently.
Misamis Oriental Governor Peter M. Unabia and City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa crowned Gwyneth Jamimah Chan (Candidate No 13) during the Grand Coronation Night held at Arturo Lugod Gym on July 21 on the occasion of the one-month-long 63rd City Charter Day and 44th Grand Kaliga Festival celebrations
Chan also won the special awards for Best in Swimsuit and Best in Gown, said Jose L. Bollozos, chairman of Gingoog City Tourism Council and chairman of the Miss Gingoog 2023.
He said Chan received a cash prize of P75,000 and a bouquet handed by Governor Unabia and Mayor Cañosa.

Erika Gabutan (Candidate No 3) and Rachel Jao (Candidate No.12) won as first runner-up and second runner-up and received P50,000 and P35,000, respectively, said Bollozos.
He added that crowd drawer Francessa Marie-Iam Baguiz (Candidate No 4) and Ellen Abejo (Candidate No 5) completed Chan’s court as 3rd and 4th runners-up.
Candidates who did not win received P10,000, Bollozos said.
In his message during coronation night, Cañosa thanked the candidates for participating in the pageant and the judges chaired by Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan of the Department of Tourism-10.
