KIDS of all ages and the kids at heart converged at the Limketkai (LKK) Center to participate in or enjoy the sights of the annual cosplay and toy show.
Participants from all over the city strutted their multivariate and impressive costumes and showcased their massive collection of toys.
This event was brought about by a multi-effort by LKK Center, Toy Zone, and Legends Events CDO (cosplay) volunteer members.
The annual CDO Toy Show Homecoming 2022 was held on October 28 to 30. Starting in 2015, it was temporarily halted in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the first time since then that the organizers were able to host it again.
“Mao no atong 8th year pero ika-sixth event tungod sa Covid. Nag sugod ni sya because of our love and passion for toy collecting. Toy collecting is also a form of investment,” Kristoffer Jan R. Liao, CDO Toy Show head organizer, and founder said. He is also the producer of the CDO Toy Show.
“We have artists and merchants participating from Manila, Davao, and Bacolod,” he added. “This is the biggest crowd draw we have. We call it homecoming kay after two years of hiatus, we are now back.”
Wil Busgano, the co-founder of Legends Events CDO, also brought about the participation of cosplayers from across the city.
“We are hosting various events here. We have a Gundam Building Contest, cosplay, games for kids for Halloween, and the toy displays,” Busgano said.
It was Rotsen Rick Tidoy, president of CDO Toy Zone, who first organized this event in 2015. The organizers claim that this has the biggest crowd and participants draw compared to previous years.
