ILIGAN City ― Is this city “hiding” something as regards true data of Covid-19 cases here?
Residents here are asking these questions in the wake of national reports attributed to Guido David of Octa Research saying that there is a “surge” in Covid-19 cases in this city which is “above 40 percent.”
There are 22 cases here per national reports while this local government unit reported “zero” Covid-19 cases.
Dr. Belinda Lim, acting city health officer here, when asked by reporters about the matter said “this is just a technical or digital error,” adding that “the wrong data had been pressed” thus the “wrong information” in the national level.
She insisted that the correct data for Covid-19 cases in the city is “zero.”
Lim added that the local Inter-Agency Task Force will have a meeting regarding the matter, among other things.
