POLICE operatives are now tracking down the suspects who robbed two establishments in separate incidents in a day.
The two robberies occurred Saturday in two barangays of Cagayan de Oro City.
The first establishment to have been victimized by a lone armed man was the Dunkin Donuts outlet located at Barangay Puerto at 11:45 am.
The store’s cashier, 30-year-old Gleacie Añasco narrated to police investigators assigned at Police Station 6 led by Police Lt. Winston Salvacion that the suspect entered the said store and pointed a gun at her.
The suspect then carted away P4,000 cash from the cash drawer.
After the incident, the suspect hurriedly left the area on board a black XRM MC motorcycle, without a plate number heading towards the city proper.
Fifteen minutes later a call was received by the police assigned at Police Station 4 headed by Mario Mantalla, Jr., that another store-the HK Mobile and Appliance Trading located at Vamenta Blvd. in Barangay Carmen was robbed by a lone suspect.
Daphne Sungkitan, sales representative of the said outlet told police that she was with another co-employee identified as Rita Tangara when a man pretending as a customer suddenly declared a hold-up.
With a short firearm pointed toward the two, the suspect took away 11 units of displayed mobile phones amounting to P78, 853.00 including the P573 cash.
Police at the two stations are still tracking the two unidentified suspects.
