By BEN SERRANO Correspondent STILL unidentified men shot and killed a town councilor-elect in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur late last week, police said over the weekend. Police identified the victim as 57-year old Leonor Alba Dinagay who was recently elected to the Hinatuan town council. Dinagay was the second councilor-elect killed in a gun attack in Caraga after the May elections. The first was Councilor-elect Chito Mabunga of Trento, Agusan del Sur in June 1. Investigators said Dinagay was driving an van and was with his wife when gunmen on a motorcycle carried out the attack. Police said Dinagay had just left his house in Barangay Loyala, Hinatuan in order to attend a program on the distribution of toilet bowls to poor families. Police said Dinagay drove away but was chased and finished off by the gunmen. The victim succumbed to three gunshot wounds. He was declared dead on arrival at the Hinatuan District Hospital. Investigators are still facing a blank wall at press time.
