Iligan City — A graduating high school student back riding on a motorcycle has been caught carrying marijuana in his bag Thursday afternoon as he was going to school.
Police Lt. Pugoy Carmelito, deputy commander of Police Station 5 at Poblacion, this city, identified the student as one Saldene Cañete, 18, studying at La Salle Academy in Palao, a resident of Baraas, this city.
As Cañete alighted from the habal-habal motorcycle he was riding, he dropped his sling bag that exposed marijuana buds inside a folded notebook.
Seized from the possession of the suspect was the sling bag which contained the said marijuana buds.
The suspect is currently detained at Station 5 at Poblacion, this city.
