THE Sangguniang Panglunsod SP of Gingoog City immediately approved just one time during the regular session on Monday morning of November 20 in the 3rd and final reading, the proposed Local Expenditure Program in the City worth P1,620,110, 257.00 billion for the calendar year 2024.
The approval of the annual budget for 2024 was done a few minutes after City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa presented it personally to the august body.
Mayor Cañosa cited as he presented his local expenditure during the SP regular session which was declared as a committee of the whole to accommodate the budget hearing.
All department heads of the city attended during the budget hearing.
He said various programs and projects line up next year including the preparation of "Hashtag Uli Gingoog 2025"
ABC President / City Councilor Robert de Lara, Chair Committee on Finance said the approved budget to include P274, 490, 010 million 20 % development plan.
It also P81,500,513.00 5% for the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund (LDRRMF); P27,525, 705.00 and P36, 649, 509.00 for Economicc Enterprise and the Community Colleges respectively, he added.
The local expenditure program for next year will be obtained based on the projection as follows; Local Sources of P194,010,388.00 million; Economic Enterprise Income of P 24,541,090.00 million; Schools income of P20,108,725.00 million and National Tax Allotment of P1,372,450,054.00 billion pesos, de Lara said.
Vice Mayor Thaddeus Lugod presiding officer expressed congratulations to the early passage of the said annual budget 2024.
