Gingoog City — The City government of Gingoog through the effort of City Mayor Erick G. Cañosa has binging its social services to the far-flung barangay of Sangalan through its social flagship program “Halad Pangalagad” in a whole day activity on Tuesday.

Cañosa said through “Halad Pangalagad” the people of Sangalan were being served.

Barangay Sangalan is located in the southeast part of Gingoog with about 44 Kilometers distance from the city hall here.

Village Chief Rogelyn Virtudazo expressed her gratitude and she thanked the effort of the city mayor as her constituents received services from the local government.

Among the services, the people of Sangalan received the following free registration of birth, free legal services and medical consultations with free distributions of medicines and other services like manicure, pedicure, welding training, massage, and shoe repair, etc.

The bloodletting and blood typing was also done during the activity of Halad Pangalagad.

For his part, Mayor Cañosa lauded the leadership of Virtudazo as her barangay is the most discipline barangay in terms of smoking.

Cañosa said in the barangay Sangalan the no-smoking drive of the city is fully implemented.

Dili ta kakitag mga tawo manigarilyo diha sa kadaghanan ug wala usab mga tindahan sa maong barangay mamaligya ug sigarilyo ngadto sa mga bata.”

The Halad Pangalagad will be conducted twice a week in every other barangay in the city.
