Good moral standing and active participation in the club activities had paved the way for former Barangay 23 chairman Jaime Joshua Frias II to lead the dynamic Green CdeO Eagles Club (GCEC) of Cagayan de Oro’s flight in the year 2022.
The 39-year-old Frias, a chess trainer, and journalist ran uncontested to succeed outgoing GCEC president Diosdado Uyangurin during the 3rd General Membership Meeting and Election of New Sets of Officers EY 2022 of the club at the Golden Stallion Suites in Barangay Nazareth, Cagayan de Oro City.

Jigs Padua, who addressed himself as a broadcast journalist, and hotel manager Roel Pagulong were both nominated to challenge Frias for the post but later on declined.
However, as an experienced Eagles officer, Pagulong encouraged those elected to act like one and not become a liability like sitting ducks.
“During my aspirant days, I was asked by Kuya Flor Gutierrez on my intention in joining the club considering that I’m already a public servant being an elected Kagawad of Barangay 23. My personal conviction is that I feel there's also a need to serve privately aside from public office. Private in the sense with a group. Kung ang proyekto, shall we say, mokabat 20,000 pesos, bah nalang naay piso ako in our collective efforts. Ang 20-mil dili mahimong buo kung wala ang piso. Buot pasabot, there is beauty in service as one in collective mind and hearts. Pagka beauty kung mag-usa and you won’t see that in many lifetimes,” Frias said in his acceptance speech.
Frias vowed to ensure good stewardship of the club, continuous service to the community like extending help to public schools, and commitment to the environment.
“Transparency and getting involved with the engaging members of the club are also our topmost concerns,” added Frias.
Among those elected is secretary Romeo Paradillo, assistant secretary Totsie Daitol, treasurer Roland Sala, assistant treasurer Bernard Baldonado, auditor Anthony Pabillore, assistant auditor Siegfred Pimentel, PIOs Jason Tan, and Stev Panaz, Protocol officers Roberto Caballero and Rosendo Aquino Sr, Regional Assemblymen Diosdado Uy, and Arnel Baba, Regional Alternate Assemblymen Dondon Allorin and Wilbourne Neri.
Also, Board of Directors Edgar Gustilo, Manuelito Aligato, Steven Asil, Patrick Go and Budz Lumacang; alternate BODs Flor Anthony Gutierrez, Ramil Sia, Fernan Gaabon, Fairbanks Folicer and Mike Abriteguin; Peace Officers Francisco Sabud, Rodolfo Besin and Renato Antazo; Care Chairman Kenneth Tupaz and Tribunal/Grievance Chairman Roel Pagulong.
