FORMER Vice Mayor Caesar Ian Enerio Acenas has died at the age of 49. The cause of his death and other details are still being determined, as of this writing, but his death was confirmed by former City Councilor George Going in a Facebook post this morning, August 22.
Acenas served as an ex officio member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Cagayan de Oro during the time of former Mayor Pablo Ambing Magtajas, who was also the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation president, and then became a regular City Councilor of the city.
He was the youngest presiding officer in the city council when he was elected as Vice Mayor of Cagayan de Oro during the time of the late former Mayor Vicente ‘Dongkoy’ Emano.
