ILIGAN City ― Former city councilor Bienvenido Villacorta Badelles died Monday of a lingering illness. He was 78.
Lawyer Leo Zaragoza, himself a former city councilor, yesterday said that he was among the friends Badelles spoke with before his friend breathed his last.
However, he did not say what they were talking about but added that the Badelles clan here is among the few families not tainted by allegations of corruption.
Facebook accounts of the Badelleses and friends have been swamped with messages of condolences for Benny’s passing.
The details of the wake and interment will be announced later, according to the Badelleses.
