ILIGAN City ― In several signs posted prominently outside its doors, the East-West Bank here said that it is closing “temporarily” its operation here beginning Sept. 1 or “until further notice.”
This is due to “health concerns,” it said
Earlier, emails were sent to its clients saying that they are moving towards full vaccination against the Covid-19 for all its personnel.
In the meantime, clients here are directed to transact with East-West branches in Cagayan de Oro at Velez, Carmen, Cogon, Pueblo de Oro, and Lapasan or they may see their Facebook page to be updated on the developments of their bank.
In another development, Mayor Celso Regencia, in a rare public briefing over the weekend, said that “all of the city hall departments have records of Covid-19 positive now except for the city information office" even as he blamed the “Asenso Iliganon” vehicle of Cong Frederick Siao, an opposition leader here for allowing passengers inside “with no social distancing.”
