THE Department of Public Works and Highways in Northern Mindanao has clarified there is “no ghost project” in Baikingon, Cagayan de Oro City.

This clarification comes after reports of an ongoing investigation into an alleged flood control project in the area.

Roshelle Novie Lim-Cabrido, a spokesperson for DPWH-10, said their office received a report about the alleged investigation in Baikingon, but clarified that no such project exists there.

Instead, the project is located in San Simon.

Cabrido said the district engineer checked their records and found no flood control project in Baikingon.

“The District checked sa ila records po wala gyud Flood Control Project sa Baikingon and ang naa lang sa San Simon,” the spokesperson said.

The $2 million flood control drainage project in San Simon is already completed.
