ILIGAN City ― Bags are parts of our lives. We go on through life’s journey carrying bags of all sizes. So there are big bags, small bags, medium bags, etc.
There are also bags of various colors ― black, brown, red, white, etc. Too, they are used for various purposes in our lives. For instance, in the last elections, some people who carried some bags with them were called “bagmen” if plural. Or “bagman” if singular. Their purpose, say some “Marites” by the roadside or somewhere else, was “to buy votes” for this and that politician.
Now, recently with financial developments worldwide, which some pundits say are brought about to a great extent by the war between Russia and Ukraine. So, some money has become worthless. To the extent that such money has become the materials for bags. Like Venezuela, for instance.
Although their financial troubles have been there before this war between Russia and Ukraine.
Now one “baggy” matter that had been thrown to us, although not all are very aware is that of “nuclear football.” On TV, I saw this one which is a briefcase being carried by the President of the United States and an aide. Which carries with it the “code” that has something to do with the fate of the world as to “when” is the “right time” to fiddle with the nuclear bomb.
Holy cow! The fate of the world really depends upon some briefcase being carried by some world power? Like the US?
So, am now wondering whether Vladimir Putin, of Russia, has something like this. It was not shown to the world. Or maybe, we missed it.
What is known and made news of, is that some of his guards are carrying with them some bag or briefcase. Not in connection with nuclear bombs.
But in connection with his health!
They don’t want the world, especially the West to know something about his health. And that something can be known by “analyzing” his body excrement or “waste matter.” Hence, the briefcase or the “bag” carried by his aides so that the West can not do some intelligent analysis of the state of Putin’s health. Ha, ha, ha, though this isn’t any laughing matter! As speculations are rife that the Russian leader is sick with Parkinson's, or worst, cancer.
So, there, bags really have their small or big purposes. They can make or unmake our lives here on our imperfect earth Now here in our country with the peso to the dollar at P54, will we see that grim possibility of our money becoming materials for bags? Alas, God forbid!
Yet these disturbing possibilities about bags or stories about them are something we've got to learn to live with. Even if once in a while we are disturbed by these darn baggy matters…
