MORE than half a million worth of illegal drugs were taken from a baker, a laborer, two unemployed, and a self-employed female drug suspects during their arrests by authorities in separate buy and bust operations in Bukidnon in a span of two days.
The first to be arrested were three brothers identified as Victor, 39, married and a baker; Efren, married, 33, laborer; and Roberto, 25, jobless, all surname Tinoy, and residing at Zone 5A, Panadtalan, Bukidnon.
They were arrested by joint elements of Maramag Drug Enforcement Unit, Maramag Municipality Police Station under Police Lt. Col. Julius Clark Macariola1V, and personnel from RSOU-10 in a buy-bust operation near their residence last Thursday at 6:11 pm.
Authorities were able to seize from Victor six sachets and P500 buy-bust money. Another one sachet from Efren, and also one sachet from Roberto. All the confiscated plastic transparent sachets contained a substance suspected to be shabu with an estimated amount to P6,800.
Several drug paraphernalia and two mobile phones were also taken from the suspects.
The following day Kalilangan Municipal Police led by Police Capt. Merlin Macawili together with other police units had arrested a high-value individual also in a buy and bust operation.
Police Lt. Myller Quarteron, Provincial Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) head, identified the suspect as Junaid Agba, 27, jobless, a resident of Malinao of the said municipality, Bukidnon.
He was arrested inside his residence last Friday at 12:43 pm
Recovered from him was one big sachet containing a white substance believed to be shabu with an estimated weight of five grams and estimated street value to P340,000; a bundle of photocopied P1,000 peso bills, and one genuine P1,000 bill.
Two hours later of the same day another female drug suspect was arrested by members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10, Bukidnon and, Malaybalay City Police Station led by Police Lt. Col. Ritchie Salva.
The suspect was identified as Anna Marie Nangca, 40, married, self-employed, and residing at Don Carlos Norte of the same province.
She was arrested at Block 8, Grema Village, Casisang, Malaybalay City.
Confiscated from her were two sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value at P238,000; 24 pieces of P1,000 boodle money; and one genuine P1,000 bill.
All the suspects are facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9165 on the Anti-Drug Law.
