A high caliber pistol, several suspected drugs, and a motorcycle were just among the items that had been confiscated from a 45-year-old, jobless, 4Ps beneficiary during a raid last Saturday by authorities.
Bukidnon Police Regional Director John Mark Lagare, identified the suspect as Rogelio Daquinao, residing at Purok 9A, Barangay Lumbo, Valencia city, of the said province. He is a beneficiary of the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The suspect was arrested by elements of Valencia City Police Station led by Police Lieutenant Jonel Antique at sitio Liloan, Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City, Bukidnon last Saturday at 12:15 noon in a buy and bust operation.
In a police report sent to Police Regional Director Benjamin Acorda, the suspect yielded several items after his arrest.
Confiscated from him were six pieces of hot-sealed transparent plastic containing suspected shabu, a P500-genuine bill, six photocopies of money worth P6,000.
The estimated weight of the confiscated suspected drugs was 8 grams with an estimated street value of P52,000.
Also taken from him were a motorcycle (XRM) with no plate number, a .45 caliber pistol with serial number 754218, a magazine with two live bullets.
The operation was witnessed by Barangay Councilor Jerry Villarta and some media personalities.
The suspect is currently detained at Valencia City Jail pending proper disposition.
